About the Greater World Earthship Community

Welcome to the Greater World Earthship Community – a beacon of sustainable living and architectural innovation near Taos, New Mexico.

This text will be crowdsourced from residents of the community, which was established in the early 1990’s and continues to grow with worldwide interest in the Earthship concept.

All 80+ homes in this subdivision of Taos County, New Mexico, are entirely off-grid, “net-zero” homes which utilize nature’s bounty for heating, cooling, electric power, water collection and waste management.
